npm packages
VoiceThere publishes three packages under the @voicethere npm scope. Install those when you write an agent, operate a project from a terminal, or connect a browser. Cloud runners and the client also depend on the open-source @node-webrtc-rust stack — you only install that yourself when you run a local WebRTC worker outside VoiceThere cloud.
Each package has its own guide in this section. How-to pages for dashboard settings, voice vendors, and templates stay in the other docs groups and link back here.

Versions below are the public npm cuts as of 21 September 2026. Pin a caret in package.json unless you need a specific patch.

Registry pages: agent, cli, client, sdk. Do not write package names as @scope/name@1.2.3 in copy that might pass through email obfuscation — use a space before the version.

Agent repos that you scaffold with voicethere init already get a root package.json with @voicethere/agent and npm scripts for build / verify. The dashboard Code tab can seed the same file on older workspaces.
Open WebRTC SDK
Cloud voice uses the speech pipeline from @node-webrtc-rust. You do not install it next to a VoiceThere agent unless you are running the library yourself. Speech event types are re-exported from @voicethere/agent; runtime constants such as SPEECH_EVENT_TYPE stay on @node-webrtc-rust/sdk/voice and are not bundled into the child.
